Hugh MacLeod, one of my favorite bloggers, posted about acts of futility last week.
He says most of his successes started off as acts of futility. He notes that many other grand successes had act of futility stages too. And he lists some of both in the post.
I reckon there’s a whole heap of futility in trying to push all the world’s businesses to become radically transparent, sustainable, and humane. And maybe things look especially futile when you’re trying to do that one purposefully purchased tube of toothpaste at a time.
So I guess we’re going about this project properly unreasonably.
