Hey Wiley. I found this Time article to be pretty level-headed and useful.

Great link Carl, it was exactly the sort of thing I was looking for in that it addressed the criticisms directly. The “consensus” among scientists about the reality of global warming is mentioned several times in the article but they don’t really go into what that consensus is based on, although this is perhaps because, as the article states:

“What scientists view as healthy debate, critics tend to see as evidence that the scientific case is still open — and the American public, large portions of which are all but scientifically illiterate, are not equipped to make the distinction.”

Here is another interesting attempt at framing the climate change debate with a hefty visual component in he-said-she-said format.
