The Carrot Project

Laptops

As an Apple user (and first time feedbacker), I am curiuos why Apple gets only two carrots. I don’t see many positive ratings, but don’t see any negative ones .

What gives? I just wanted to write “what gives” because I think it is such a hokey inquistor (not really sure if inquisitor is a noun, but I am declaring it one now if it wasn’t already).

in-quis-i-tor; question, as seen in “The Carrot Project” feedback

The simple answer to the question is that we haven’t found many crunchiness experts that highlight Apple as a leaderly, responsible company.

That doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t, however. We might dig up more info and add it to the site. And if you read something that makes you think Apple is doing the right thing, we hope you’ll send it to us (or submit it as a carrot award recommendation).

As for negative carrots (which I’ve been calling nega-carrots or rotten walnuts over the past week), we want to see what things look like with positivity based ratings and rankings first and then bake the negativity in later.

We still want to hear about any negativity you know or hear about. We want it to be a part of the conversation going on on site. But we’re still trying to figure out how we can incorporate nega-carrots in a way that doesn’t scare the companies away.

And maybe that’s crazy, because maybe the companies will never actually participate in this conversation and info exchange in a sincere way, but we want to give them a chance. So we don’t want them to think we’re haters. At least for a while.

Why do you hate companies so much Jake?

Again, Wiley, you are fired.
